![]() My theory is how hard is it for a multi million/billion dollar company to buy subs to each VPN and just block those IPs ![]() The websites have smartened up and can tell if you are running a vpn, not sure if its based on the software or IP, but both say along the lines of "please sign out of your vpn, if your still having issues call customer service"Īlso, a lot of things that did work before like shopping from a IP in another country to buy for instance a sub to NBA League pass, sites can tell your using a vpn as well. Never had a letter come to my house for a torrentīoth PIA and Express do not work with any of the popular poker/gambling/ sport booking websites Leaks or Detection issues - never with either, Ive ran leak tests frequently, never had a leak. Uploads were always good as well, 50's through and through w/ both Speed tests - I have 200mbps down and 50 up - Both performed great and very close to the 200 mark as in maybe 190, my ISP is good though and I really get between 210 - 230 using my regular non VPN connection, so you can say tops I loose around 10 or so mbps with both To me personally, I really dont care as I do not Darkweb purchase or do anything shady, but it is nice to know I really am hidden. A huge one for most, deal breaker even, Express I believe is not in the 14 euro eyes, or 5 N.a - meaning people who believe one day it is possible for the goverment to demand a vpn company to handover client info or breach the servers, they can.Along with the Express UI, there settings is more user friendly, you can pick AUTO so you don't need to mess around with your ports ect when torrenting or surfing in general. The Express User Interface (UI) feel more complete and polished vs pia's - not a big deal breaker to me.As I mentioned, they have a whole bunch of different servers.triggering the captcha checks constantly, the websites know PIA's I.P's by now. I am not sure if it is because less people are using the servers I use specifically because they have so many different ones, some states in the USA alone have 3 servers in 1 state. With Express I have not came across the issue at all, if I hit captcha it is like I was doing it on my own connection, just click "I am not a robot". With PIA, if I came across an issue I don't have unless I am specifically using PIA, express did not have this issue and it is website captcha - Any site that makes you do it by default, even some that I didnt know had captcha made me do it, I had to do the extended form of it not just click the check mark. This is the r/ pia so I imagine most people here have had pia in the past, currently, or did research so Ill try to focus on what Express has vs PIA Now the review and questions as well, I apologize in advanced if my thoughts seem all out of the place but I believe I got all the points I wanted across ect.Ģ years later with PIA I wanted to check out what was good now that VPN tech has really moved to the general public, and not just early adapters and techies ect. I didnt know really what else was out there at the time, but PIA a couple years back after doing research, had great speed reviews and support ect. I used PIA for over 2 years, I think I always paid for the 3 month or 1 month plan as I always wanted to feel free to switch around at some point. So here is my shitty testament, just a dude who is a System Admin, works from home, and uses his VPN 24/7 It sucks because when you search "best vpn" or something, youll never get the truth basically. I dont blame them, nothing stopping me from being a content creator on youtube or facebook, but me personally, if your getting paid I dont want to hear your testimony at all. First of all, I am not being paid by PIA / express/ or any company at all to say this, I ran into that issue a lot when looking at VPNs, everyone who seems reliable drink the coolaid and advertises who ever has the biggest paycheck.
